Risk & Compliance Manager

We’re looking for a Risk and Compliance Manager to join a Progressive specialist law firm in London. This is the perfect opportunity for someone interested in driving meaningful change within a dynamic environment. 

In this role, you’ll lead an team integral to the firm’s compliance function, and ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work closely with the Head of Compliance, manage key internal risk initiatives, and play a pivotal role in strengthening the firm’s risk framework.

We need someone with strong experience leading a team in risk and compliance, preferably within a law firm or legal setting. Strong knowledge of AML regulations is essential, and any relevant qualifications would be a plus.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the client and matter onboarding process, ensuring compliance with internal policies
• Managing and developing the central onboarding team
• Conducting quality assurance checks and approving compliance reviews
• Handling escalations and supporting the MLRO with compliance queries
• Delivering training and guidance to legal and business teams
• Managing third-party compliance tools and maintaining central registers
• Driving process improvements and supporting cross-functional projects
