We have a new opportunity for an ambitious Risk & Compliance Officer to join a well-respected Law Firm in Scotland. This role supports senior compliance professionals in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. 

The ideal candidate has gained experience from a similar role within a law firm. Those with a broad understanding of compliance, such as risk management or wider regulatory/operational risks; or relevant compliance-based qualifications would be desirable for this role. 

Some responsibilities include:

• Help develop the firm’s Risk Management Framework
• Carry out risk assessments, record findings and escalate where appropriate
• Monitor compliance and highlight areas of concern
• Aid in educating employees on compliance regulations and internal policies
• Support managers in policy reviews
• Stay informed on updated relevant regulatory and legislative requirements
• Assist the MLRO in managing the firm’s exposure to financial crime risks
• Carry out AML file reviews
