Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst

We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst on behalf of a prestigious full-service law firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their compliance career, and gain hands-on experience with a variety compliance areas, including AML, conflicts management, and other regulatory matters.

This diverse and engaging role allows an ambitious individual to broaden their compliance expertise, and enhance their knowledge and practical skills with exposure to a wide range of regulatory issues, beyond AML and conflicts.

Some responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough AML checks, ensuring compliance with our firm's policies by reviewing documentation and performing risk assessments for new and reopened clients.
• Guide fee earners on AML requirements and assist in maintaining ongoing monitoring for higher-risk clients.
• Review conflict checks and manage queries from the Compliance team inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Monitor compliance with engagement letters and maintain client and matter records.
• Supervise and train junior analysts, acting as the first point of escalation for their queries and concerns.
• Advise staff on compliance policies and best practices, conducting training sessions for new joiners and maintaining compliance registers.
• Collaborate with the senior personnel on special projects to ensure smooth operations.

We’re seeking someone with a strong background in risk and compliance, ideally with at least three years of experience within a law firm. You should be well-versed in AML and conflict management, confident in advising stakeholders, and comfortable handling escalations from junior team members.
