Junior Risk Lawyer

A well-respected UK law firm is looking for a Junior Risk Lawyer to join its in-house Regulatory Compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of regulatory, risk, and compliance matters in a dynamic legal environment.

We are looking for a qualified lawyer with 4-6 years PQE and strong experience in legal or professional services regulation, conduct, or negligence, ideally with knowledge of SRA standards.

Your responsibilities:

• Reviewing and refining firm-wide supervision processes to drive improvements
• Providing expert regulatory, risk, and compliance advice on an ad-hoc basis
• Advising on client retainers and professional conduct risks
• Supporting internal audits and assisting with regulatory complaints
• Engaging with the SRA on supervision, notifications, and regulatory relationships
• Assisting with PII renewals and professional indemnity updates
• Reviewing supplier contracts to ensure confidentiality and compliance
• Conducting regulatory risk assessments and supporting implementation projects

There is also the opportunity to gain exposure to data protection matters for those looking to expand their expertise.

You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive, commercially aware mindset. Sound judgment and decision-making skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
