Senior Compliance Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Compliance Officer to join a Prominent UK Law Firm in London. 

In this role, you will be a key component to the firm’s risk management across all areas of the business. You'll be actively involved in AML and anti-bribery processes, ensuring firmwide compliance in all areas. You’ll provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements and help to refine the future of internal compliance strategies.

We are looking for someone with strong compliance experience in a similar role within a law firm. Equally, the ideal candidate has experience with conflict management and an understanding of current AML regulations. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting Senior personnel in implementing systems and controls
• Assisting with the preparation for annual audits and practising certificate renewals
• Addressing queries related to Solicitors Accounts Rules, ensuring the firm adheres to regulatory standards
• Work collaboratively to support client onboarding, due diligence, sanctions procedures, and AML risk assessments
• Managing internal policies, ensuring processes are effectively implemented and queries are addressed
• Supporting external audits
• Delivering training and process improvements for compliance across the firm
• Tracking and reporting on compliance-related issues and actions

We’re looking for an ambitious, proactive worker who can manage projects independently. You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
