Risk & Compliance Lawyer

We are recruiting for a Risk & Compliance Lawyer at a leading commercial law firm. In this role, you’ll be working closely with the senior personnel to support the delivery of top-tier risk and regulatory service across the firm. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to maintaining and improving the firm’s risk management processes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and promoting best practice.

We’re looking for someone with prior experience in a law firm or related regulatory role. You should be keen to grow in risk management and have a solid foundation in legal and regulatory compliance knowledge.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising firm-wide staff on ethical issues, SRA regulations, GDPR, and other legal requirements
• Assisting with handling PI claims and client complaints, including liaising with insurers and managing claims records
• Supporting colleagues in client onboarding and 
• Reviewing and advising on client and supplier contractual terms
• Drafting and updating policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance across the firm
• Participating in training and contributing to the firm's induction and ongoing education programs
• Assisting in audits, renewals, and registrations related to insurances and regulatory bodies
