Our client, a well-regarded specialist law firm, is in need of a new Compliance Manager in Birmingham.

Within this position, you'll be responsible for establishing and ensuring effective management and governance across all offices. Your focus will be on maintaining consistent compliance alignment, ensuring that all locations adhere to best practices and firm-wide standards.

Some responsibilities:

• Ensure full compliance with AML regulations
• Remain up to date with legislative/regulatory changes
• Work collaboratively to identify areas of improvement and strengthen internal compliance
• Deliver training sessions on risk-related topics and revised policies
• Mentor junior colleagues
• Support due diligence processes required for mergers and acquisitions
• Address queries about professional conduct matters and conflicts of interest 
• Maintain claims records, carry out file reviews and compliance audits
• Serve as an escalation point for professional indemnity insurers

The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, a history of proactive risk management and experience with managing diverse workloads. Knowledge of current regulatory requirements/guidelines is a bonus, but not essential to this role.
